Due to the nature of Thailand's environment marina house's ever popular decking is in need of refurbishment. This project was last completed in 2012. Since that time the flood wall at the front of marina house has been raised by 80cm. Our upcoming projects will be recovering our full riverside aspect and bringing more intimate areas to our decking to support the continued use of our decking as an extended living area for our tenants.
This subject is THE hot topic at the moment. There is plenty of information online about this subject to give a back-ground if people are interested. I am writing this today to help people understand how this has affected marina house to this point. In basic terms it has caused about 1 hour of delays on 1 day since it began. By Bangphlat standards this is actually quite a lot.
Over the past couple of months we have been trialling a British Butcher based in Prawet (near Suvarnabhumi) that delivers to marina house. This Butcher has been in business for a number of years and now supplies a variety of 5 star hotels, popular bars and restaurants. There meat is sourced locally, but handled and treated using traditional British Butcher methods. The end result is some VERY good quality meat. They deliver, inside Bangkok, for free for orders over B1,500 so a number of people in marina house have been co-ordinating their orders to take advantage of this fantastic supplier.

It has been 4 years since marina house opened on the banks of the Chao Praya river in Bangphlat. For a Bangkok apartment block marina house has been very well maintained with regular repainting of the rooms and the communal areas. The most important communal feature of marina house is our 100sqm deck on the riverfront. Due to this popularity the decking has seen a lot of human traffic and usage over the 48 months since our opening. Due to a rushed effort to finish marina house on schedule and the damage caused, by the Bangkok Flood of 2011, to the bank that our deck is set in our decking was in need of a complete rebuild.
